About SR Core Tech

SR Core Tech is an independent publication about the hardware people use to get serious work done: laptops, monitors, chairs, keyboards and everything else on and around a desk.

Why we started

Most “best of” lists are written to rank for a keyword, not to help someone decide. They repeat the spec sheet, recommend the most expensive option and rarely say who a product is not for. We wanted the opposite: short, specific guidance that starts from how you actually work — writing code, editing video, gaming after hours or sitting through eight hours of calls.

What we cover

  • Laptops for development, creative work and travel.
  • Monitors — ultrawide vs. dual screens, resolution, refresh rate and ergonomics.
  • Ergonomics — chairs, desks, arms and the habits that prevent back and wrist pain.
  • Desk setups — complete, budget-aware builds and cable management.

How we research

We are transparent about our method. Unless an article explicitly says we used a product ourselves, our recommendations are based on research, not on lab testing. For every guide we:

  • compare official specifications and warranty terms;
  • cross-check independent measurements published by specialist reviewers (for example color accuracy, input lag or battery rundown results);
  • read long-term owner feedback to spot reliability problems that only appear after months of use;
  • explain trade-offs and name alternatives at different price points.

Articles show the date they were last updated. When prices, models or our recommendation change, we update the guide rather than publishing a new one.

How we make money

SR Core Tech is free to read. We earn revenue from affiliate commissions (for example as an Amazon Associate) and from display advertising. Brands cannot pay for a review, a position in a list or a positive verdict, and we do not accept free products in exchange for coverage. Read the full affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

If you find an error — a wrong spec, an outdated price, a broken link — tell us at suport@srcoretech.com. We correct factual mistakes promptly and note significant changes in the article.
